Rod Blasdel

Personal History

 

Born and raised in South Central Indiana, Rod is a life-long resident of the Columbus area. He is a veteran of the armed forces, having served four years in the U.S. Navy.  He married Catherine Flynn, a Michigan native, and they have four daughters.

 

Professional History

 

Rod’s past work experience covers a broad range of responsibilities, primarily positions in manufacturing including Human Resources Management, Operations Management, and Materials/Logistics Management. He attended Indiana University at Bloomington, IUPU Columbus, and earned certification as a Professional in Human Resources. 

 

Aviation History

 

His interest in aviation began as a youngster flying with his father, a pilot who maintained his own aircraft from a grass strip at home.  Rod’s childhood interest in aviation eventually led him to earning a Private Pilot Certificate.  Later, he went on to earn a Commercial Pilot Certificate, and Instrument and Multi-Engine Ratings.
