John A. Hogan
John was appointed to the Board of Aviation Commissioners by Mayor Fred Armstrong in April of 2006.
Personal History John Hogan was born and raised in Northern Kentucky, graduating from Conner High School in Hebron, KY. He and his family have lived in Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana, and he now lives in Columbus with his wife, Dorelle, and their three sons. They are members of the Community Church of Columbus.
Professional History He earned his bachelor’s degree in Heath Care Administration and his master’s degree in education from Western Kentucky University, and his doctorate from Indiana State University. Hogan has worked for four different higher education institutions, including Miami University (Ohio) and Ivy Tech Community College. Hogan started at Ivy Tech’s Richmond campus in 1988 before moving to Anderson to head that campus in 1999. In January 2003, he was appointed chancellor of Ivy Tech’s Columbus Region, the largest post-secondary institution in Columbus, enrolling 5,000 students annually.
