Glasair Super-II FT N59CL

I kept a time sheet in March, but did not manage to update this log, so I'm lumping it all together.

After closing out the header tank, March was spent finishing seams: the rear belly panel, the top seam above the header tank, and the seam above the cabin and along the dorsal & fin.  I first sanded off the gel-coat, the laid in one layer of cloth.  Then I installed the dorsal fairing, and finished it all off with filler to close out the weave and to blend around the dorsal fairing.

I also blended in the wing root fairing.  Rather than shape around the lower front wing attach bolts, I a friend at work silver soldered flat washers to the head of 4 attach bolts, which I then tapered and pop-riveted in place.  I covered these with milled fiber mix before blending the fairing into the fuselage.

Along the way, I bonded in the door gas-spring attach points, and the seatbelt attach points.

All told, it was a dusty month of March.
