Acknowledgements

First of all I would like to thank the people who have helped me teach these First Flights classes.  Chris George has helped with the teaching of these classes and has made the drawings of the class projects that are attached to this website.  John Walter has also helped with the teaching of these classes.  Further, John has also made some the fixtures that we use and framed the pictures that are displayed in the area where we teach these classes.  Their assistance has made teaching these classes much easier and more enjoyable.

The Columbus Municipal Airport has provided financial support for the materials that are used in these classes and for the creation of this website.  Their support has allowed these classes to develop faster and further than would have otherwise taken place.

Thanks to The Foundation For Youth (FFY), of which the Boys and Girls Club of Columbus Indiana is part, for providing the facility in which these classes are held and for scheduling the kids that have participated.  This has allowed me to focus on offering and developing these classes.

Thanks also to The Experimental Aircraft Association for providing me the opportunity to volunteer at KidVenture in 2002.  It was at KidVenture where I became convinced that project focused classes such as these First Flights classes could and should be offered locally.  Also, for the glider design that the Fantastic Flyer is based on and the Wooden Rib project plans are used with permission of the Experimental Aircraft Association.

Cummins, Inc. for allowing us to take the time during the work day to teach these classes.

For anyone we may have missed in these "Thank You's", please accept our
sincere apology as well as our thanks even if not stated here.
